I have a 3 month old!

Sweet boy -

I can't believe that you are already 3 months old (I think I start every posting like this - haha!). You are such a fun little boy, and your personality is really starting to show up. So far, you have been a very laid back little baby - you only fuss when you are hungry or tired, which makes it very easy on Mommy and Daddy! At three months, you already weigh 14 lbs, and Mommy calls you her little "chunk-a-monk"...she loves your fat little cheeks and thighs! This was an exciting month, as we celebrated the 4th of July and your first trip to Fripp Island. We also officially moved you to your crib and you seem to LOVE it! You have started sleeping through the night (although we did mess up your schedule when we went to the beach - but that's okay! :)), and Mommy doesn't know what to do with extra sleep.

Other fun things you are now doing:

1. You love your play place, and now reach out and grab the little bumble bee! Mommy also saw you kicking at your toys...so neat to see you start to use your hands to grab at things.

2. You can now move yourself around by kicking your legs and feet...you're still on your back, of course, but you are always in a new direction after a few minutes!

3. Smiling, smiling, SMILING! You love to smile and laugh now...it warms our hearts to hear your little squeals - so sweet!

4. Standing! Your favorite new thing is standing on our legs, stomachs, the couch...anything we let those little feet find grounding! It's really fun to let you look at yoru self in the mirror while standing on the bathroom counter...you just stare and stare...

5. Watching everything you can get your little eyes focused on! You still love lights and ceiling fans, but you also become enthralled by the television. Baby Einstein is now your "tv time," and you really like Baby Noah and Baby Mozart. One "problem" we've discovered is that you like to stare at the camera when it's in front of you, so it's hard to capture smiles now! :)

New Stuff:

1. Bigger diapers! You officially made the move to size 2 diapers this month.

2. Annnnd...bigger bottles! You're eating around 6oz these days, and now take formula in addition to breastmilk.

3. The crib and its oh-so-comfy mattress
